What I wanted to was to make a sound that could hold up against today's radio ga-ga--a rock/funk sound, that could be diverse,using occasional rhythms and chords from jazz while still staying true to rock's main forte--it's power-punch, the extra oooph on the guitar and my own drumming.
The lyrics were just as important-I wanted them reaching into the listner's mind just as much as the music, leaving a picture as well as a melody. I also strongly feel that rock should be an art and you should record for your audience, not for yourself. I was limited by finances on what I could do,but not by time or imagination. I can only pray the results are what you want to hear. Please let me know if I did. |
