“My experiences with the ocean, its life forms and the people of the Cape, are a large part of who I am,” says Peck, who has taught sailing and scuba diving for years. “It’s as if the sounds of the Cape have become background music in my ears. Give me my guitar, my dog Shelby, and a sailboat balanced on the wind, and I’m happy. Give me a place to sing about it to others and I’m in heaven.”
Peck performs solo, as a member of the popular group Big Fish, and as part of a duo with longtime friend and bass guitar player Bob Smith.
Peck especially enjoys performing “My Friend, My Dog,” a song he wrote about his beloved Golden Retriever-Chow while sitting on First Encounter Beach in Eastham, Peck’s hometown.
Other original songs that are regularly part of his sets include: “Sail to the Islands,” “Walk Down This Hidden Path,” “I’ll Sail,” “A Place Where I Can Go” and “Warmth of the Summer Sun.” Production on Peck’s CD “Wind in my Sails” is ready to order. |
