First of all I would just like to say that the most important thing to me is to have my music heard. My songs come from a very special place in my heart, and I want to share them. So whether that's someone willing to take a risk by taking me into a studio and producing a superior product to what I can create by myself in my home studio; or whether it's someone established who would be interested in the right to record one of my songs themselves; I just want to have them heard and enjoyed by as many people as possible. That all sounds kind of presumptuous, but I just thought I should put that out there as plainly as possible before I went on............................................................
ALSO!!! You can find many of my songs, (25) , available for download at: MIXPOSURE.COM/DAVID-ENGLAND (free) , tuneflow.com/davidengland OR soundclick.com/davidengland I've had many influences musically:Queen, Rush, David Bowie, Uriah Heep, early Styx, early Journey, Syd Barrett, Pink Floyd, Yes, ELP, ELO, etc. Another huge influence on my playing was the effect Spanish flamenco style had on my rhythm guitar playing, (ie. The Gipsy Kings... especially evident on my six and twelve string acoustic playing and classical guitar). I also have quite a passion for digital delays or echo which has quite a large influence on my more electronic pieces.
I'm all over the road in my styles, so naming "sounds likes" can be tough, but I'll give it a shot. Some of my arrangement structures come off very Rush like (more evident in the heavier songs), my mellower stuff comes off a bit like Uriah Heep or The Moody Blues (with Bowie moments), or possibly Cat Stevens or even James Taylor a bit. Bottom lines is I probably reflect a little bit of everything I've ever liked or even heard.
