This one goes to some interesting places. Lately I've been writing a lot of songs that start with a particular theme but never repeats or returns to it. I especially enjoy unexpected changes with each being like an entity or song unto itself. I stumbled across the opening chord the other day and immediately knew I had to do something with it.
