The State Express, a truly distinctive voice in Australian music, are strong believers in the positive effect music can have on our lives and communities.
Taking their roles as modern storytellers seriously, they perform music with genuine heart and soul, combining poignant songwriting with exciting and energetic live performance. This is unmistakably modern music that wears it's classic Soul, Rock, Funk and Folk influences firmly on it's shoulders.
A creatively driven group of musicians, The State Express combine the soulful and touching vocals of charismatic front-man Jemi White, the fiery and original lead guitar and vocals of Megan Bernard, and the solid-as-a-country-Kingswood rhythm section of bassist Paul Young and drummer/percussionist Gareth Morley.
Formed in the heat of January 2005, The State Express's Debut EP is available for download from their website www.thestateexpress.com and are polishing their independent debut album for release in Novembr 2006 |
