| Dan Hartnack, Chris Vere, and Jim Carlson were three friends with pop punk dreams but after playing in a low key local band for three years they realized the band they started in middle school just wasn't going anywhere and decided to call it quits. Chris went his separate way while Dan and Jim stuck together trying out some different things with close friend and talented guitarist Eric Mahoney. An online ad lead to the successful try out of two strapping young men Jay Tyler and Dave DelVecchio who thankfully did not turn out to be forty year old sex offenders like all too many people that respond to online ads turn out to be, but the completion of a lineup which would be known as Under a Falling Sky. The five-piece quickly got to work, writing and playing the local circuit in CT, making a small but sure dent, and laying a foundation that would later evolve into bigger and better things. A few months later, while UAFS was still a new band Eric announced he would be leaving to help out a band he had been a good friend with for years. This void would need to be filled quickly but with someone that could fill Eric's checkerboard shoes, which is not an easy task. And then, in fulfillment of the scriptures, Chris Vere descended from heaven to fulfill his rock and roll destiny. His year or so apart from Dan and Jim made him wiser and ready to join in the creation of something better than all attempts before it. The new UAFS wasted no time, viciously writing and recording the catchy yet refined music they are now using to tear up the local scene in and around CT. Recently, longtime friend Steve Rivera has joined UAFS adding another guitarist and vocalist to the lineup, perfecting their sound. Now they are working on new material while still playing every and any show they get their hands on, musically impregnating every man, woman, and child they meet along the way. |
